Shanghai Team Made Outstanding Achievements at the 9th GENIUS Olympiad 2019
Invited by the State University of New York Oswego and the Terra Science and Education, Shanghai Science Association for Young Talents (SSAYT) selected three senior members of the association to compete in the contest held at the State University of New York in America from June 17th to 20th in 2019. At the end of the competition, Ting’ou Wu won the honorary award, and Chili Wang and Fengyun Chen won the bronze awards.
The GENIUS Olympiad is cohosted by the State University of New York Oswego and the Terra Science and Education. It is an international high school competition in basic science, art, writing, engineering, robotics and commercial development with a focus on environmental issues and world sustainable development.
Organized in the form of a contest, the GENIUS Olympiad gathers elite students around the world to cope with environmental issues, levels up their ability to produce solutions, inspires them to come up with creative ideas for environmental protection and improvement, raises their environmental awareness and provides them with a chance to exchange ideas with each other. Every year, over 1200 students from more than 60 countries and 40 states in America will join in more than 800 projects.
The participants competed in six categories, including science, robotics, creative writing, business development, talent dialogue, and art and music.

Moreover, in order to encourage the youth talents around the world to deepen exchange in science, culture and art, the GENUIS Olympiad arranged icebreaking events, 3D space exhibition, international cultural exchanges and travel to the Niagara Falls etc.
Shanghai Science Association for Young Talents has cooperated with the host of the GENIUS Olympiad for many years. We have trained many excellent students who have won great awards.
